Dr. Schwartz focuses on comprehensive breast surgical care, including biopsy, removal of benign and malignant breast lesions and breast reconstruction. He has innovated and invented multiple new surgical approaches in breast cancer surgery and reconstruction. Dr. Schwartz is a recognized national leader in the field of oncoplastic surgery, where principles of cancer surgery and plastic surgery are used together to radically excise all cancerous tissue, but still leave patients with natural looking breasts. He is one of only a handful of breast surgeons in the United States with formal training in oncoplastic surgery.
