Dr. Al-Awabdy is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Physicians, and has held various leadership positions for local chapters of the American Medical Association. For the second consecutive year, he was named to Atlanta magazine's 'Top Doctors' guide in gastroenterology by Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd. In addition to general gastroenterology, Dr. Al-Awabdy has a special interest in liver disease and therapeutic endoscopy.
